The home of this exceptional black tea quality is Yunnan, in southwest China. The tea is collected during the plucking period from late March to mid-April and is produced under strict observation using special manufacturing methods. The plantation is located in naturally forested surroundings at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,100m with a cool climate. This is the basis for the cultivation of this speciality. The leaf is large, finely twisted, tobacco-like, with a very high proportion of golden leaf buds. It develops a strong, spicy-malty aroma in the copper-coloured cup, in combination with the typical soft-earthy Yunnan character.
