Orthodox teas from Africa have become absolute rarities. Nowadays, CTC qualities dominate the export business and only the highland plantations Kaproret, Saramek and Chemase still cultivate crosses of Chinese bushes. The demand far exceeds the low harvest yields, but thanks to long-standing business connections we have always been able to secure the best qualities. Because of the striking golden-brown leaf tips, the bright orange cup colour and the strong, slightly flowery aroma, these are often mistaken for Yunnan teas.
