Origin and plantationWhile the east of Rwanda is covered by swamps and savannahs, the high mountain forests rise in the west. Here, the temperature is less hot and the soil is perfect for coffee cultivation thanks to volcanoes. At an altitude of 1,700 - 2,100 metres, Red Bourbon coffee is grown here by many small farmers and then washed with spring water. The farmers are supported by the "Abizeraba" cooperative in cultivation and harvesting.Character and tasteRwanda Nyamasheke has a gentle black tea accent.
