Puttabong Estate is one of the northernmost gardens in Darjeeling. The cold air of early spring is accompanied by intense sunshine, resulting in unique first flush quality. Summer temperatures range from 23°C to 25°C during the day and 15°C to 19°C at night. The plant stock is composed of 65% Thea Sinensis and 35% Thea Assamica. The total area of the tea garden is 892 ha, with only 437 ha under cultivation.
