This tea is grown in the province of Jiangsu (north of Shanghai) west of Lake Taisee on the border with Zejiang. Pi Lo is the name of a mountain range, Chu means spring. In the 17th century, this tea was called "Its smell accompanies us all our lives". Emperor Kang Xi, to whom the tea was brought every year as a gift, changed the name to Pi Lo Chun. Just the sight of the small, hand-picked, delicate leaves with extra fluff is captivating. Each leaf is very carefully worked! The cup is amber in colour, mild and soft in taste. An experience!
